If you find a security flaw in Valve’s system, they will pay you up to 2000 USD for it.
So far, Valve has paid out more than 100,000 USD to “white-hat hackers”, or ethical hackers. They on purpose find and report security bugs in a system.
The flaws you find are determined by a CVSS score. According to this list, you can earn anywhere from 200 USD to over 2,000 USD, depending on the flaw. In total, Valve has paid out $109,000 since it first posted on HackerOne earlier this week.
