Facebook will launch a dating feature soon

Watch out, Tinder! Facebook is coming to the dating business!

The company officially announced their dating service at their annual developer conference, F8. If you decide to give it a shot, you will not be able to “match” with any of your friends, says Facebook.

REMEMBER TO LIKE US ON FACEBOOK

“I know a lot of you are going to have questions about this. We’ve designed this with privacy and safety in mind from the beginning,” Zuckerberg said during a keynote speech.

Right…

Well, anyways, Facebook does have a lot of features andĀ options and things already built-in, and will make finding a possible match easier. Here is one example…

Say there is an event near you. You decide to go there. When you decide (on your profile) that you will go to saidĀ event, your dating profile is automatically shared with other that are interested in the same event. After that, you can start private conversations with other members.

Other details are not yet clear. This dating feature will roll out later this years.

And in a way, I guess you can say that it makes sense for Facebook to do something like this. Facebook knows a lot about you. Really, a lot! You’d be surprised just how much. And it is not hard to find someone who has similar interests as you in their database.

This is just one of many, many features that Facebook has added to their system.
