Nvidia next-gen GPUs aren’t coming any time soon

We were all waiting for it, but it seems that we will have to wait even more before we see the next generation of Nvidia GPUs.

There was a lot of talk on the Internet about the upcoming Nvidia GPU series, and weather or not it will be 11-series or 20-series. But nope! Nvidia CEO came on stage, displayed some awesome hardware, and said one thing we did not want to hear – The hardware will not show up for a “long time”.

However, we did get to see Jetson Xavier, a computer designed specifically for robotics. It is powered by six CPUS, including a Volta Tensor core GPU, eight ARM64 cores, and deep learning accelerators and image processors – really insane. And in general, most of Nvidia’s press conference was focused on deep learning, AI and that stuff.

So when is that “long time”?

It could be September, December, 2019…
