You can now delete Snapchat messages

The feature to delete Snapchat messages will be available soon, and will arrive within the next few updates.

We’ve all been there. Sending that text or photo that you have second thoughts about, and you want to delete it or “unsend” it, but nope, you cannot. Well, Snapchat will now allow you to delete previously sent messages in a private or group chat, the same way you can delete them on Viber.

To do this, simply long-tap the message you want to delete and a menu wil show up, and simply press DELETE. Simple as that.

This is great and all, but it does open the possibilities for abuse, since deleting some messages can change the context of a conversation. However, Snap will let the other person, or other chat participants, know that you have deleted a message.
