So this is pretty big – Steam Link will allow you to stream games from your desktop to your Android or iOS device.
Yes, that’s right – the new Steam Link app will allow you to stream games from your PC to your phone, the same way Steam’s InHome streaming works. It is scheduled to launch at the end of month, during the week of May 21st.

However, there are some things you do need to keep in mind.
First of all, this will only work on your local network, for now. This means you won’t be able to stream over LTE, or something like that.
And even when you’re at home, you’ll have to be connected to your PC through a 5GHz network, or wired Ethernet.
For the controls, Steam says you’ll be able to use the Steam controller, MFi-compatible iOS controllers, and more. However, more compatibility is yet to be announced. There is no word about using touch controls or a Bluetooth keyboard, or a PS4 controller.

Additionally, Steam is planning to launch a Steam Video app for iOS and Android later this summer for streaming the variety of movies and shows on Steam. Users will also be able to download videos offline to watch later, similar to other services like Netflix or YouTube Red.
