If you’re relying on Messages from Google a lot, this new feature will definitely make your life easier.
Google has FINALLY decided to port the Messaging app to desktop PCs. And it is not limited in any way, it is not an exclusive. All you need is a phone with Google’s Messaging app, and a web browser. That is it. When you arrive to the website, you will get a QR code which you are supposed to scan with your phone, through the Messages app.

The ability to have you SMS messages on your desktop is something only Apple users could enjoy. However, Google is stepping up their game, too, and is shortening the gap between them and Apple. The new updates for the app should hit everyone by the end of the week.
