Facebook will warn users whose data has been leaked

Recently, 87 million Facebook users may have their data improperly shared with Cambridge Analytica.

Starting on Monday (today), users who had their data shared with Cambridge Analytica, will get a detailed message about it on their news feed.

However, if you live outside the US, you’re probably fine. Facebook claims that more than 70 million affected users are from the USA. Others are from Philippines, Indonesia, UK…

In addition, all 2.2 billion Facebook users will receive a notice titled “Protecting Your Information” with a link to see what apps they use and what information they have shared with those apps. If they want, they can shut off apps individually or turn off third-party access to their apps completely.
