Instagram adds “You’re all caught up” to the timeline

If you ever feel like you’re endlessly scrolling through your Instagram feed and seeing the same stuff over and over without noticing, Instagram has you covered.

A long, long time ago, Instagram had a chronological timeline. It did not decide what is “best for you”. You simply got posts from your friends in the order they were posted. That is it. However, Instagram implemented an algorithmic timeline, which changed everything, and now posts have nothing to do with the time they were posted. And that made some people angry.

And because some people tend to continue to endlessly scroll, Instagram has added a nice reminder to your timeline, “You’re all Caught up”, which informs you that you have seen all the posts from the last 2 days.

While this is a nice touch, people still want the chronological timeline back…
