More and more rumors are popping up about the next GeForce series.

Before going into this, keep in mind that all of this are just rumors and leaks. None of this is 100% true. With that said, here is what we know so far.

Provided by wccftech, the preliminary specs of the GTX 1180 seem to be a nice bump over the current generation flagship, the 1080. It is said that the card will launch with a 1.6 GHz base clock, and a boost of up to 1.8 GHz. However, as it is in real life, the boost is always higher than what ti says on the box, so don’t be surprised if the card boosts to 2 GHz. As far as other improvements over last-generation Nvidia cards go, the 1180 will include “8-16GB” of GDDR6 memory. The memory bandwidth is set to be 16Gbps, a sizable leap over the GTX 1080 Ti’s 11Gbps memory bandwidth.

GTX 1180 Specs

The die is supposed to be smaller than the one on the 1080Ti’s (471mm2 ), but much larger than the one in the 1080 (314 mm2). But where we see a massive difference is with the CUDA cores. The 1180 could have 3584 CUDA cores, the same number the GTX 1080Ti has. It is a huge improvement over 1080’s 2560 CUDA cores.

GTX 1180 price and power consumption

Power consumption could either be slightly lower or slightly higher than the GTX 1080’s, according to wccftech. The 1180’s rumored spec sheet lists “170-200W” as the card’s TDP. No matter where in that range the cards’ TDP lands, it’ll consume much less power than the GTX 1080 Ti which has a TDP of 250W. If you’re wondering how much the 1180 might cost, sources say customers should expect to pay around $699 for the new GPU. While this is unconfirmed, the pricing would make sense – Nvidia’s GTX 1080 Founders Edition launched with the same MSRP.

And, keep in mind, all of these are just rumors.
