Windows 10 file explorer will soon have a dark mode

If black is your fancy, then you will like the new update coming to Windows’ File Explorer.

Windows already offers a dark theme, and it can really transform the look of your desktop. But this color change is not really consistent, asit works only in native apps and some third-party apps, but not in File Explorer.

However, that will soon change. As you can see from this reference (and other pictures that have surfaced on the Internet), Microsoft seems to be working on a dark FE internally. You’ll most likely be able to switch the mode on or off, since it doesn’t really make sense to force the black color.

Microsoft hasn’t confirmed if it’s going to ship this with the Redstone 5 update to the public or if it’s going to wait for the next substantial update to roll out dark mode support to the File Explorer.
